One thing for sure is that I wish I had never taken my car finance out with Santander Consumer Finance UK, their only concern is getting their money, regardless of what is going on with their customers.
I've contacted them over the last 2 or so months as I have got into financial difficulty and need their help, all they were concerned about was getting a payment plan in place and kept pushing me for more information about my circumstances even though I had already been open and honest.
In the end they refused to set up a payment plan and have told me I will just have to pay whenever I can, but to still expect letters, phone calls and text messages. I informed them that I am disabled with cognitive issues and that constantly receiving these communications would stress me out and make my health worse and they said they still needed to do it anyway.

Beware of their T&C's. They received a parking fine that I would have appealed, but paid it immediately because this is apparently their policy and added £30 admin charge. I contacted the parking company, as I suspected, they said an appeal was not applicable as the parking ticket had been paid

Not the fault of the staff, but they are trying to push all enquiries online.........can`t get through on the phone. Only open during office hours! Typical of big business today who don`t give a fig about good customer service.

Awful, got shafted on price in the first place. Then trying to sort out a payment of the VT complete incompetence. Impossible to deal with and good luck trying to get someone on the phone which wouldn’t be a problem if there was email communication. Absolute shambles.

Poor company hard to get hold of and when you very rude and unhelpful and unprofessional would not recommend. I called at 3.30 and still on hold at 5pm without speaking to anybody waste of time. Can’t give half a star and wouldn’t give them that anyway

They refuse to update your address. I tried everything but I give up. Just ask to update the address but is not possible for them. Terrible service and if you can avoid them don't look back as this is a 1 star company

Santander finance Cars from incompetent dealerships. Santander support dealerships selling faulty cars to consumers!! I purchased a car under a Santander finance agreement and within 30 days of me having the car it broke down and multiple things wrong with it and the things that were wrong with it should have been checked before sale. After a complaint to Santander as the car I had I had lost faith in, santander wasn't bothered. I raised the complaint to the Ombudsman and low and behold they side with the dealership.

It's nice to know that Santander support dealerships that not only give me 1 faulty car, but 2! Second car was a courtesy car whilst mine was repaired. So thank you santander, will never use you again and will never ever recommend you.

My simple request to you was I swap my car for another one that was reliable! Santander must be short of money because they couldn't even uphold that request.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Judging by other reviews as its only been given 1.4 stars on Google reviews, I am not alone clearly.
